What PEASure™ Is

PEA is an endogenous lipid mediator belonging to the N-acylethanolamine (NAE) family. It is synthesized on demand within cell membranes in response to stress or injury and acts locally within tissues, including the brain. PEA is also present in trace amounts in foods such as eggs, peanuts, and soy lecithin, but at levels far below the systemic doses studied in clinical work. PEASure™ is supplied as a high-purity ingredient suited for capsule, tablet, sachet, and beverage applications.

Mechanism

PEA’s primary identified mechanism is activation of the nuclear receptor PPAR-α, which down-modulates inflammatory gene expression and contributes to neuroprotection. PEA also indirectly modulates the endocannabinoid system through engagement with CB1 and CB2 receptors and interacts with newer molecular targets including GPR55 and TRPV1. Importantly, PEA does not produce psychoactive effects and is structurally distinct from cannabinoids — it has its own well-characterized non-cannabinoid pathway.

Why Formulators Choose PEASure™

  • A clearly characterized, non-psychoactive endogenous compound with growing peer-reviewed literature.
  • Long-established safety profile in published research.
  • Powder format compatible with capsules, tablets, stick packs, and gummies.
  • Differentiation in comfort, recovery, and immune categories without controlled-substance complexity.
